1080p HDTV

Sharp Aquos 1080p HDTV Review

By Setiadi

The advertisements for televisions today look more like a jumbled alphabet than actual information. If you have ever felt like you needed to be a MIT graduate to choose a television, you are not alone. The latest 1080p HDTV innovation is in the resolution department.
The main difference between LCD TV 1080p and 1080i is the progressive scan technology. Progressive scan allows each video frame to be transmitted in one fell swoop. What this means for the consumer is the high definition format is better supported giving you a true HD experience.

Reviews of Top Brand – Sharp Aquos

When it comes to 1080p HDTV, Sharp has snuck up on the competition and provided a superior product. However, there is a bigger price tag to go along with it. Sharp has manufactured many in the Aquos line for the purposes here we will look at the 1080p HDTV.

Features
• 1080p resolution
• 10,000:1 Dynamic contrast ratio
• 60,000 hour lamp life
• PIP (picture in picture)
• Stand included
• V chip for parental control
• Connections HDMI, S video, Component video, AV, RF, PC and head phone

With 1080p resolution, picture quality is great even though there were some initial concerns because of Sharps early reputation for banding problems. The picture is especially sharp with the correct HDMI connections coupled with a HD DVD player or BluRay. The PS3 really pops with this television.

Of all 1080p HDTV available, the features are outstanding. Plenty of input/output and particularly notable is the three HDMI ports. High definition products are in their infancy but it will not be long before they are the norm. At this point, the extra ports will be extremely useful.

Great 1080p HDTV with more than enough options for the tech geek. No significant issues were noted with this unit. Out of the box, the picture quality is excellent and there were no problems with dead or stuck pixels. If you are in the market for a good quality 1080p HDTV, the Sharp Aquos is a great buy.

In Conclusion

The average viewer may not notice much difference. Owners of state-of-the-art home theater systems or those who want to enjoy the best technology available are going to find more to love about 1080p HDTV.
